My cat Sophia
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
all up on my sweaty gym shoes. But last night I briefly put my dress shoes from work on the bed while I was getting changed, and she went nuts for my Italian leather bluchers.
More pics of Sophia being obsessed with shoes!
My wife hates that I put shoes on the bed, even if only ever so briefly, but she thinks the cat’s shoe obsession is cute. One time she even !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , while I wasn’t home. Except she put them on the floor, not the bed.

My cat tends to get a little sharp and pointy when I tie my shoelaces.

Gross, weird, and cute all at the same time.

This morning, Enzo knocked over one of my cowboy boots in an effort to slay an unruly beastie — a pair of Levi’s I’d left on the floor. Cats are weird. Amazingly, lovably weird. :)

I would wager it’s not shoes she likes but rather things that smell like you. I would bet she would be interested in your gym clothes if you left them on the floor.

One of our cats is obsessed with my work jeans. I brought a stack home a couple weeks ago and sat them on a chair and he rarely leaves them. I’ve actually moved them a couple times just to see what he would do and he just follows them.

I once put a long sleeved t shirt on the floor and the cat was rolling around in it and rubbing her face and head all over it. It was wierd. I wonder if its the female cats smelling manly musks or hormones or something.

As the “owner*” of 2 cats and 2 dogs I can verify what you already know - it’s their world, we’re just living in it. Those shoes you think are yours? They are Sophia’s.
* because who really owns whom in these relationships?
